Diana Wolfin specialises in helping women return to work after a career break, giving guidance and advice on holding it all together once you get there and devising work-life balance strategies for all. Having worked for ten years at the University of Westminster running "Return to Work" courses for women, ethnic minority groups and those embarking upon self-employment, Diana started up Changing Direction in 2000, aiming to provide training, support, guidance and coaching to women as they prepare to re-enter the job market, are thinking about doing so or have done so and need advice. Diana has conducted significant research in this subjects and broadcasts regularly, both on television and radio, on related topics. She has also written a book, "Back to Work - A Guide for Women Returners", co-authored with her colleague Susan Foreman. This is intended to be a guide for women to help them bridge the gap between home and career, with a focus on work-life balance; it also includes a directory of useful organisations and addresses as well as information from an employment lawyer and an accountant on legal and financial matters. A returner herself, after 20 years at home bringing up her four children, Diana has a special interest in work-life balance and understands only too well the position of women returners as well as those juggling work and other commitments. Marlene J Shalton (Ms) Director, Chambers Morgan James Financial Management, MSC(Econ), MSFA, FIFP, Certified Financial Planner. Marlene established her IFA practice in 1991 after serving 13 years as a probation officer and a wish for a career break. She now has a very loyal client bank and has established herself for some time as a financial planner on a fee basis. She contributes regularly to national press and has a weekly personal finance column in the local press. In addition she has appeared on TV on Working Lunch, Panorama and as general commentator on financial issues. She is a long time member of the Institute of Financial Planning and is now a Board Director. She was shortlisted in the Woman IFA of the Year competition in 2002.. At one time she ran the business single handed whilst bringing up her daughter Laura alone. Laura now aged 23, graduated as a maths student last year and subsequently joined the practice. Marlene married her partner of 10 years in December.
