EVENTS - The National Gallery has a whole line up of events for half term, some of which are free. If you want to get your children interested in art (and enjoy yourself at the same time!) then plan a morning into your half term activities.

EVENT - FEED THE BIRDS DAY 2008 is an event encouraging people around the UK to provide food for birds in their gardens. Run by the RSPB, this year it takes place on 25 October.

This year, the RSPB is also urging people to transform their gardens into homes for wildlife. By following simple, free advice, anyone, anywhere, can transform their garden or open space into a wildlife haven.

EVENT - Discover Dogs, organised by the Kennel Club in association with Royal Canin, will be taking place on 8th and 9th November at Earls Court 2, London. The event will be celebrating its 13th year of delighting dog devotees from all over the UK, with new and exciting attractions alongside a range of traditional crowd favourites.

With over 200 breeds all under one ‘woof’, Discover Dogs is the ideal place to learn more about the pleasures of canine companionship, and all the other benefits that owning a pedigree dog can bring. The show is an interactive experience dedicated to every aspect of canine care, promoting responsible dog ownership and showcasing the diversity and talents of man’s best friend.
